Vale Kathie Montagu
Mid Hills NA is saddened to hear of the passing of Life Member Kathie Montagu
Kathie was a valued contributor to the Association, involved in creating the framework of our Whistle Awards, being the inaugural Gold Whistle recipient in 1991. Kathie was involved in the 1990's on the Board and committees, and was committed to shaping the Association for the future. She was recognised with Life Membership in 1997.
She was a regular umpire in the early days of the Courier League competition, awarded the Gold Whistle in 1998.
A well respected umpire, she was passionate about developing others, and was a great mentor and inspiration to younger umpires in improving their skills and encouraging everyone to pick up a whistle.
Our Rep Teams also benefited with Kathie regularly blowing the whistle for our teams at Sunday Carnivals. After nomination by MHNA, Kathie was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for services to Netball in 2000.
Kathie was a strong community minded person, always giving back, with a great sense of humour and fun. Thank you for your legacy.

The Carnival Committee is preparing for the next round of Association Rep Team selection/trials and would like to invite expressions of interest for Coach or Assistant Coach positions.
11&U and 13&U age groups only

Association Representative Team trials will be held on:
11 & 13's
Tuesday 8 September 6.00 - 8.00pm
Thursday 10 September 6.00 - 8.00pm
Check in will be from 5:40pm each trial
Nominations can be registered on PlayHQ from TBA
